Scientists convert a book into DNA

Intriguing story about scientists sequencing a book (they don’t give the title) into DNA as a storage medium.  Which suggests on the one hand that we have a new storage medium which is fantastically compact. And organic – presumably the idea would be to back up data onto an algae like substance. But the frivolous part of me (it is Friday after all) wonders if there is a Hollywood blockbuster waiting to come out where Michael Crichton novels turn into malignant viruses – I’ve been infected by Jurassic Park! And mutants appear who have been cross bred with America’s got Talent youtube footage. Endless entertainment!
