Being social also means looking after your own social spaces

A useful blogpost here by Anil Dash about the need to take ownership for the social spaces you set up. Its a shock when you allow comments on a blog or set up a bulletin board how crassly some people behave by using the opportunity to blatantly promote their online businesses or say the minimum so the search engine spiders use the link and promote their website in the listings. And it can get a lot worse when the content becomes abusive. Its a reminder that we need to take responsibility for what is posted on these space. Either manage what others post. Or remove the possibility of them posting in the first place.
