MRS new media and research technologies conference blog

I shall be writing up the blog of the MRS New Media and Research Technologies later today. It will be posted next week on the WARC site. I was able to twitter the conference while I was taking notes. Using Tweetreach it would appear that the hashtag #newmrt reached well over 4000 people and I would have appeared to have been responsible for most of the exposure 72% of the 17,400 impressions. Which if you consider that the number of delegates (once you have deducted speakers) was around 60 shows that conferences have an alternative role as promotional channels which have a temporary circulation comparable to a lot of business magazines – and I suspect which can attract at least as much attention.
