Church more like a coral reef than an institution

Coral_reef_1 I never could resist crossover content. Bishop Alan Wilson has just returned from a conference about the relationship between religious groups and the media. And apart from giving old style media a bashing – who reads them any way? He makes an interesting point about how monolithic religions aren't. In fact they work rather like an ecosystem of linked communities than anything centrally controlled. I rather like the idea of the church as a coral reef. Make you wake up and swill out your facemask instead of complaining about the constant carping diversity. Awful to listen to – perhaps a pleasure to watch.
